Foster Care Orientation 2009
Every 2nd Sunday, 11am - 2pm

All orientations are held at the North County Humane Society’s William J. Tate Board Room.

*RSVP required. Foster Care volunteers must attend BOTH the Volunteer & Foster Care Orientations prior to entering the program.

Volunteer Opportunities

Take your pick of working with one or many types of animals in one of our volunteer roles. All volunteers receive training, and all the love of the animals you can handle.

Without the generous help of our volunteers, we would not be able to provide the quality of care our animals deserve.

There are several ways to participate in our volunteer program:

Weekly long-term volunteer opportunities
Offsite adoption volunteer opportunities
Special event volunteering
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, regardless of whether or not you are accompanied by an adult.
Unfortunately at this time we are NOT accepting court-ordered community service.
If accepted into our program you must pay a $25 application fee.
Any volunteers who will be transporting our animals must turn in a copy of their driver's license, proof of auto insurance and a DMV report.

*All long-term volunteers are asked to commit to 8 hours of volunteering per month for at least 6 months.
