A Happily-Ever-After Ending for Harriette

I adopted a dog named Harriette a year ago. She came home scared, unwilling to get in a car. But with training and lots of TLC she has become a great dog. She is the sweetest dog ever. Willing to learn, loves walks, and can perform many tricks. She is the best dog and my family really loves her and enjoys her company.

Apollo & Buddy, Pals 'till the end

We adopted Apollo after his mom Mona had her puppies at the shelter. He is the most amazing dog. He is 7 months old and weighs approx 90 pounds. He is best friends with our chihuahua mix Buddy, whom we also adopted from you in October 2004. These two dogs are truly God's gifts to us.

We hope to have many years with these dogs and are grateful to the SPCA for taking such good care of them until they were able to go to loving homes. My husband and I consider them our "kids." Since we can't have any more two-legged babies, we have our four-legged ones.

Apollo is a gentle giant and for such a big puppy (rottweiler-mastiff mix) he is like a lap-dog, except when he sits on you, your lap disappears. Our dogs are family members, they sleep indoors, get bubble baths and love the treats after going "potty" outside. We are truly blessed and just thought you would like to know how much we love Apollo and Buddy.

Thank You.

Oreo gets Moreo out of Life

In January 2006 my husband and I were looking around for a pet. I came across this shy shih-tzu named Oreo. I knew how much time went into keeping up the health of a shih-tzu so initially I just passed him by. But then upon inquiring about him I learned that he had many health issues which many people would (and already had) found to be a problem. I thought it would be my opprotunity to save an innocent animal. I got him home and realized he was partially blind and very deaf. I started on the adventure of fixing this innocent little boy. We began cleaning his eyes and ears regularly and he is now able to see clearly and hear better.

When we first brought him home he never played unless you really got him going and he never carried his tail up. Now his tail is always up unless he is sitting or laying down. He wags his tail when we come home and he initiates play time multiple times a day. I think that these things are a real accomplishment for Oreo... it shows me that he can finally love and trust again! He is finally happy and secure in a home that won't ever turn him away.

Luna finds acceptance with her Adopted Family

We adopted Luna. She is a 1-2 year old mixed breed which we think could be lab, pit and pointer mix. We have had her for about a month or so now and we couldn't ask for a better pet. She fits right into our family. She always sleeps with me and she pretty much is my shadow. We thought she was going to take some work but so far we LOVE her the way she is!

Sassy, the 90lb. lap dog

Almost 10 years ago I adopted a german shepherd mix puppy after my Aussie died. I wanted another dog to keep my aussie's best friend company as she was mourning as much as I was.

Sassy has been just an awesome friend. She is the sweetest 90 lb lap dog on earth. She is so friendly with everyone we have nicknamed her the Walmart Greeter.

I would never go any where else to find a pet, I will always adopt one from a shelter. Thanks for everything you do.

We Wuv our Wookie!

We adopted the sweetest cat ever.
When we arrived at Petsmart, we were looking at the other cats, but Rachel showed us Wookie and Wookie was trying so hard to get me to hold her, Rachel took Wookie out and we fell in love.

I brought her home and she didn't even hide. She explored my whole house. She sleeps with my husband and I at night, its really cute. My husband says he doesn't like cats but when it's bed time he tells Wookie "come on, let's go to bed" and in the morning she follows him all over meowing and rubbing up aginst his legs, he loves it! She even puts up with my 2 year old! And she loves all the neighborhood kids. She even cought a mouse!

YAY!!!! WE LOVE OUR WOOKIE!! THANKS!
