Sampson's Christmas wishes for a forever home come true
Thank
you for the extra care you so kindly provided to Sampson, the diabetic
cat who we adopted in late November. He has done extremely well in his
new home and is in excellent health.
As we both regularly volunteer at an animal shelter, we have experienced first-hand
the hard work that is required to care for the many animals that find themselves
in need of loving homes. Animals, like Sampson, with special needs require even
more time, space, attention, and monetary support. You have all contributed
substantially to helping Sampson get the extra help that he required while waiting
to find his “forever” home with us. Thank you so very much.
We also wish to inspire you to continue extending help to even the most hopeless animals
that you shall inevitably encounter in your work. We know that Sampson was running
out of time at the shelter, but even the extra time you did give him has made
all the difference. Please use our small monetary donation to continue providing
your valuable services to animals and the people whose lives they enrich.
We are including a picture of Sampson during his recent visit to Santa. I am
not sure what he wished for this Christmas, but I am sure he would wish for you
all to have peace and joy! Please remember his story and let it be a source of
hope.
Sampson now shares his home with two house rabbits towards which he displays
a cautious curiosity. (I do believe he’s never quite seen anything like them!)
His favorite activities include plopping himself on the patio, playing with satin
ribbons (especially when we are wrapping presents), and sleeping by the fireplace
or on the couch (that he instantly claimed as his own).
We
will do everything in our power to ensure that Sampson lives the rest of his
life in our safe and loving home. He is truly a treasured addition to the family!
Thank you again!
